LAST DATE TO E-FILE MVAT AUDIT REPORT IS 30 APRIL 2010

Kind Attention to all MVAT Dealers.Maharashtra Sales Tax Department has finally issued Circular No. 05 dated on 28.01.2010, extending the due date for Maharashtra VAT Audit upto 31^st March 2010. The date has further extended upto 30^th April 2010.

The MVAT Audit Report is to submitted electronically in Form No.704. The dealer has to submit the MVAT Audit Report manually along with the required documents on or before 10^th MAY 2010.

In order to avoid initiation of penalty proceeding, it is mandatory for dealer to upload the MVAT Audit Report on or before 30^th April 2010.

It is mandatory to file e-return for all the vat dealers. Last date to upload your return is on or before 21^st MAY 2010.  No physical returns will be accepted in the bank as well as in Sales Tax Office. Submission of e-return acknowledgement is not required in Sales Tax Office.

Failure to pay your tax and file return will attract a penalty of Rs.5000/- along with other penal action.
