Order under Section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961
On consideration of the reports of disturbance of general life caused due to floods and heavy rains, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, in exercise of powers conferred under section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, hereby extends the due date of filing of returns of income for the Assessment Year 2010-11 from 30.09.2010 to 15th October 2010. Accordingly the due date for Tax Audit report u/s. 44AB of the Income Tax Act is also extended to 15th October, 2010.

    Hi dear, i think online tax preparation is the best way to file our taxes online in low cost as well as fastest way and also we will get fastest refund as soon as ….at last time i pay my taxes online its really easy to do…and ya no need to download any software also….

    THanks Buddy, it really useful information, I read  that no penalty can be imposed due to delay in filing tax returns if the reasons are genuine or due to unavoidable circumstances. at http://www.lawisgreek.com/no-penalty-delays-filing-income-tax-returns   What your view,Is their any provision on Late filing ITR.?
